Schauinsland – Black Forest

Last weekend, I traveled with my program – the University of Massachusetts in Baden-Württemberg – to Schauinsland, a mountain near Freiburg in the Black Forest. We spent two nights at a house owned by the University of Freiburg. Most of our program consisted of information sessions about registering for courses and credit transfers, but we did, on Saturday, take a short hike down to Schniederlihof, a 400-year-old farmhouse. The weekend was generally fun, though not as relaxing as I might have hoped.  Despite the persistent fog, we were still able to appreciate the beauty of this stunning area of Germany.
